This might be a terrible blurred photo, but this is authentically swedish food. Raggmunk is a potato pancake served with bacon and a healthy serving of lingonberry jam. The lingonberries are also hugely swedish - they're like cranberries, but I'd never even heard of them before we came here. The glass of milk is what true swedes drink with their raggmunk.
My swedish colleagues seem to eat out most days of the week - only English people eat sandwiches. Friday is the one day I tend to go out though - normally to a local restaurant called Rosen. Once winter kicks in again, I'll probably be there for pea soup and pancakes on Thursday (pea soup day).
Other then raggmunk, traditional swedish food has lots of fish (especially pickled herring), but otherwise it fairly northern european - some pickled cabbage to see you through the winter and plenty of meat with veg dishes. Obviously nowadays it's not all meatballs with mashed potato; swedes eat a wide variety of food just like in the UK - Jamie Oliver is one of the most popular celebrity chefs here.
